WHAT:

The Impact Lab, represented by Lidia Gryszkiewicz, was invited to the Sustainable Places Conference in Milan, together with Sylvain Kubicki from Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, Coralie Vella from R2M France, and Silvia Urra Uriarte from Tecnalia in Spain to give a presentation about Neighbourhood Regeneration Offices, a new concept we are developing in our REGEN project and deploying in four demo sites: Beckerich (Luxembourg), Dublin (Ireland), Milan (Italy) and Laredo (Spain).

HOW:

The Neighbourhood Regeneration Offices are meant to be the cornerstone of REGEN’s enactment of lasting behavioural change, being identified as the physical places where regeneration actually happens. We attempted to conceptualise NRO as an innovative type of physical urban space integrating key elements from both ‘one stop shops’ and ‘third places’, but with distinctive activities compared to existing neighbourhood offices, as they aim to create a participatory and interactive environment that strengthens collective urban regeneration efforts.

RESULTS:

Our presentation has been turned into a research paper submit to the Open Research Europe journal.
